Next steps

The NVP is now seeking:

-    EPA support for a Brownfields Job Training and Development Demonstration Pilot in the Valley. 

-    preference for local workers in environmental remediation efforts.

-    Support for the Hispanic community in Waterbury’s South End to create employment by cleaning up and redeveloping the contaminated area.     

-    Faster action from the city in identifying and cleaning up Waterbury brownfields.
