The NVP typically works by helping people

- identify problems that affect them

- build relationships with others who share similar problems or who might help find solutions

- develop strategies for affecting those problems

- learn from the process of trying to make change

- build a Valley-wide network that can help solve emerging new problems on a continuing basis
